Florent Christophe manages in Toulouse the Electromagnetism & Radar Department of ONERA, the French aerospace research center. Its Electromagnetic Compatibility team is involved in more electric aircraft studies, together with an all electric aircraft prospective.

He is a member of the NATO Science & Technology Board, as well as fellow member and former chairman of the local chapter of SEE, the French professional society of electrical engineering and information and communication technologies. He has created in 2009 a cycle of More Electric Aircraft conferences, taking place every 2 years in South-Western France. More than 300 engineers and scientists from all over Europe and beyond attended 100 presentations at the recent 2015 edition.
