Mrs. Lalancette is Deputy Director, at the Science, Technology and Innovation, International Business Development, Investment and Innovation Unit at Global Affairs Canada.  She is notably involved with the European Commission on the Canada-EU Programme Level Cooperation Task Force, to prepare future alignment of initiatives between Canada and Europe.  Before this position, she was for several years at Global Affairs in various positions as Deputy Director, Europe and Americas, Science, Technology & Innovation Unit and Chief of Staff and Executive Advisor to the ADM for International Business Development.  She holds a Bachelor of Commerce, Marketing and Entrepreneurial Management and an International Master of Business Administration from the University of Ottawa.
