With a PhD in chemical engineering, Christophe Guy is Executive Director of École Polytechnique de Montréal.

A strong advocate of technology transfers, he has participated or supported the start-up and development of research spin-off companies in Québec and holds eight patents for inventions. With his former student Thierry Pagé and current CEO of the company, he is co-founder of Odotech Inc. which twice appeared in the top ten Cleantech companies in Canada and is a Polytechnique spin-off company. Mr. Guy has also served on the Board of Directors of a medical technologies public company that is also a Polytechnique spin-off.

Christophe Guy is presently Vice-Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Consortium for Research and Innovation in Aerospace in Quebec (CRIAQ) and a co-founder of CARIC, Consortium for Aerospace Research and Innovation in Canada. He serves on the boards of several organizations, including the Montreal Science Centre Foundation and the Société de développement Angus.

As a professor, researcher and expert in the environmental field, Christophe Guy is author and co-writer of over 110 scientific articles. Alone or in collaboration, he has directed and graduated 38 research students (master’s and doctorate). He is a Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Engineering, a Member of the Order of Canada and an Officer of the National Order of Quebec.
