Michael Kilfoil is the Flagship Program Leader of the National Research Council’s (NRC) Factory of the Future (FOTF) Program.

He has been with NRC for more than 17 years in various roles including mechanical design engineer, performance manager and as Director General. He has supported research and technology development in aerospace, automotive, mining, construction, astrophysics, metrology, medical devices, and oceans technologies.

Mr. Kilfoil has an extensive background in business management, mechanical engineering, and project management with a breadth of experience having worked in the manufacturing, mining, and agriculture sectors before joining NRC.

Michael Kilfoil holds a Master’s in Business Management from Athabasca University, a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering from Memorial University of Newfoundland, has been a member of the Professional Engineers of Ontario since 2003 and holds a professional designation in Performance Management.

 

Michael Kilfoil will be a speaker at the Smart Manufacturing Systems workshop, at 2 p.m.
