Sylvain Cofsky joined GARDN in August 2009 as Network Manager and became Executive Director in May 2011. Under his leadership GARDN was renewed in 2014 by the Canadian Government for 5 more years (2014-2019). GARDN is now well known as the Green Aviation Champion in Canada.

Sylvain Cofsky held a number of management positions in the sectors of high technology, economic development and consulting in Canada and in France. Amongst them and more recently features the Canadian Space Agency as Innovation and Research Advisor for Life and Physical Sciences. Between 2003 and 2008, he has been involved as General Director with NanoQuébec, an organization created by the government of Quebec and Canada for the development of the nanotechnology sector in Quebec.  Mr. Cofsky also worked for more than 10 years in France, where he held different positions related to the economic development strategies, such as the Argos Consulting Firm where he was Partner, Consultant and Manager of the Mediterranean Office in Marseille.

Mr. Cofsky holds a bachelor’s degree from the École des Hautes Études Commerciales of Montreal and a Master’s degree in Science from Université de Montréal.
