Mr. Joël Larose holds a bachelor’s degree in materials engineering from École Polytechnique de Montréal, a master’s degree in materials engineering from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, OH and a DESS in Innovation Management from École de Technologie Supérieure (ÉTS).  He began his professional career in 2001 as a technical investigator at Pratt&Whitney Canada.  In 2003, Joël Larose joined the Materials Engineering department as an engineer specialized in hot end materials and coatings.  Since then, he has coordinated a technology portfolio of over 40 research projects.  His research activities involve several partnerships with industries, academia and research centres from Canada, United States, Poland, Germany, Spain, South Korea and Japan.  In 2015, he joined the P&WC Research and Technology team as a project engineer.  He is also consulted as a materials technical expert for P&WC internal technology reviews, as well as for technology and intellectual property strategy development.
